Approximately 2.5 hours via CO-285.  Unless you are looking to stop in Breckenridge on the way to the house, we encourage guests to avoid I-70 westbound.

Approximately 30 minutes. Alma is located in Park County on the south side of Hoosier Pass — a scenic and straightforward drive.

From September through May, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly recommended. Roads are publicly maintained but snow and ice are common. Recommended: Toyota 4Runner, Jeep Grand Cherokee, or similar.

Alma Alta sits at 11,300 feet. Guests from lower elevations, especially sea level, may experience mild altitude effects. Arriving a day before strenuous activity is strongly recommended. Most guests feel fully acclimatized within 24-48 hours.

Breckenridge has a full-service City Market (~30 minutes). Fairplay has a well-stocked local grocery store (~15 minutes).
